1. What is the Royal Suite Class?

As part of the Royal Caribbean commitment to creating unforgettable vacation experiences for our guests, we have developed Royal Suite Class — Luxury That’s Anything But Boring. Royal Suite Class is an elevated onboard experience for suite guests, combining the unmatched range of innovative Royal Caribbean suite-category accommodations with superior service, exclusive access and personalization of guests’ cruise experiences. Within its three tiers — Star, Sky and Sea — this program offers exclusive access to lounges and dining venues while onboard, attentive services and additional stateroom amenities.

2. Is Royal Suite Class available fleet-wide?

Royal Suite Class is available on Symphony of the SeasOasis of the Seas, Allure of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas, Anthem of the Seas and Ovation of the Seas.

3. When did the Royal Suite Class program become available?

The Royal Suite Class program launched in April 2016.

4. What stateroom categories* are included in the Royal Suite Class program?

Royal Suite Class offers three tiers of accommodations, based on the suite category, Star, Sky, and Sea.

6. What is the Royal Genie?

The Royal Genie is the ultimate insider, crafting exclusive one-of-a-kind experiences, all designed around the Star suite guest. The Royal Genie does not just tend to the Star guest’s suite — they make the entire ship their suite, creating personalized VIP experiences tailored to the guest’s exact tastes.

Royal Genie Services are for guests residing in Star Suites. Due to the exclusive nature of these services, they cannot be extended to friends and family members sailing on the same voyage who are not booked as Star guests.

7. Can other family members/friends/group not booked in a Royal Suite Class accommodation receive Star, Sky and Sea amenities?

  • Star benefits are only for guests residing in the Star suite. Due to the nature of these services, they cannot be extended to friends and family members sailing on the same voyage who are not booked as Star guests. Royal Genie services are also exclusive for guests residing in Star suites and will not be extended to friends and family members sailing on the same voyage who are not booked as Star guests.
  • Sky benefits are only for guests residing in the Sky suite. Due to the nature of these services, they cannot be extended to friends and family members sailing on the same voyage who are not booked as Sky guests.
  • Sea benefits are only for guests residing in the Sea suite. Due to the nature of these services, they cannot be extended to friends and family members sailing on the same voyage who are not booked as Sea guests.

8. What exclusive communications does a guest receive when booking the Royal Suite Class program?

All guests booked in a Star suite will receive:

  1. 6 weeks before sailing: The Royal Genie will contact the guest and ask them to complete an important survey about the guests’ preferences. Based off the information provided, the Royal Genie will begin preparations to personalize your vacation accordingly.
  2. Approximately 4 weeks before:  Your Royal Genie will contact you via email in order to finalize the details of your vacation.
  3. One week before sailing:  Your Royal Genie will email you a link to begin using Loop, a web-based messaging service–this exclusive Star messaging tool allows fast, easy and convenient communication between you and your Royal Genie. Loop will be available from point of registration until four days after your cruise.

All guests booked in a Sky suite will receive:

  1. 7 days prior to sailing: an email reminder. Additionally, Sky guests will receive an introductory email from an onboard Concierge.

All guests booked in a Sea suite will receive:

  1. 7 days prior to sailing: an email reminder

9. Are complimentary gratuities included for all Royal Suite Class program guests?

Complimentary gratuities are only included for Star guests. Complimentary gratuities are not included for Sky and Sea guests.

10. Does the complimentary gratuities amenity for Star guests only include tips for the Royal Genie and Concierge onboard?

The complimentary gratuities amenity applies only to our Dining Services staff, Stateroom Attendants and/or Suite Attendants as well as other Hotel Services personnel who work to enhance your cruise experience. Star guests may tip their Royal Genie and Concierge and Sky guests may tip their Concierge separately, at their own discretion.

11. Do all guests in a Star suite receive the Deluxe Beverage Package?

Yes, one beverage package per person for each guest booked in a Star suite is included. The Deluxe Beverage package is for guests 21 years and older. Guests under 21 years will receive the Refreshment Package.

12. What is included in the Deluxe Beverage Package for Star guests (21 years and older)?

WINES (BY THE GLASS)

  • We offer a large global assortment of red, white and sparkling wines by the glass. Wine selections vary by ship. Star guests are welcome to purchase super premium category wine at a reduced cost. Bottles of wine may also be purchased at a 20 or 40% discount.

LIQUOR (BY THE DRINK)

  • Absolut, Bacardi, Baker’s, Beefeater, Belvedere, Bombay Sapphire, Canadian Club, Captain Morgan, Crown Royal, Don Julio, Glenmorangie, Glenfiddich, Gossling Black Seal, Grey Goose, Hendrick’s, Johnnie Walker Black, J&B, Jack Daniels, Ketel One, Maker’s Mark, Malibu, Myers’s, Patron, Tanqueray. One Deluxe Beverage Package per person for each guest, 21 years or older, booked in a Star suite. All brands are subject to availability and the selection can change at any time. Packages cannot be shared, and are non-transferable. Packages do not include souvenir glassware, specialty beers as listed on bar menus or super premium category beverages. The alcohol package includes call and premium cocktails up to a $12 value, frozen cocktails, beers, premium wine by the glass (up to $12 value), 40% discount on purchases of bottles of wine and champagne normally priced at $100 or less, 20% discount on purchases of bottles of wine and champagne normally priced at $101 or more. Star guests are welcome to purchase super premium category wine and beverages at a reduced cost. Please see your Royal Genie for further details. Packages are subject to the terms of Royal Caribbean International’s Alcohol Policy. Pricing subject to change.

13. If a Star guest purchases a drink that is more than the value of the call or premium drink ordered, will they be charged the difference?

Yes, the Star guest will be charged the difference for the drink ordered. The difference will have to be paid on call and premium cocktails over $12 and on premium wine by the glass over $12. For example, if a guest orders a $20 glass of wine, they will be charged $8 on their account.

14. Can a Star guest order bottle service?

We do not provide bottle service except for wine or champagne.

15. What is included in the Refreshment package (for Star guests under 21 years old)?

16. Are Starbucks® food, snacks, pastries complimentary for Royal Suite guests?

Starbucks® food, snacks, pastries and anything other than premium coffee/tea are for an additional cost.

17. How many devices does the complimentary VOOM, the fastest Internet at sea cover within one suite?

One device per person for each guest booked in a Star or Sky suite. Internet service is available throughout the ship. Internet access ends at 8:00 a.m. on the morning of departure. Works on one device at a time.

18. Which VOOM Internet package is included for Star and Sky guests?

Surf + Stream package. Surf the web, stay in touch via email, share vacation photos on social media, stream music and movies from Spotify or Netflix and connect using video chat apps such as Skype.

19. Can a guest upgrade to the Royal Suite Class program on any ship?

Royal Suite Class is a program offered only on Oasis of the Seas, Allure of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas, Anthem of the Seas, Symphony of the Seas and Ovation of the Seas (Singapore and Sydney departures).

20. Which suites receive the Royal Genie experience?

Oasis Class: Royal Loft Suite, Star Loft Suite, Spacious AguaTheater Suite with Large Balcony – 2 Bedrooms, AguaTheater Suite with Large Balcony – 2 Bedrooms, Villa Suite – 4 Bedroom (HM and SY only), Owner’s Panoramic Suite – 1 Bedroom (OA and AL only), Grand Panoramic Suite – 1 Bedroom (OA and AL only).

Quantum Class: Royal Loft Suite, Owner’s Loft Suite, Grand Loft Suite

21. When are the Royal Genies available to their Star guest(s)?

The Royal Genie will stay in contact with their Star guest(s) and provide services when needed except every afternoon during their planning time between approximately 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm (ship time). Around 9:00 pm they will be recharging their Royal Genie powers — after all, even Royal Genies have to sleep. Each Royal Genie is responsible for 3-4 suites.

22. Can a Star guest request a specific Royal Genie on their cruise?

Guests will not be able to choose a preferred Royal Genie. However, our guests can be assured that every Royal Genie is ready to make their vacation an unforgettable one.

23. If a Star guest is traveling with family or friends who are not booked in a Star suite, can they also take advantage of the Royal Genie services?

Royal Genie Services are limited to guests residing in Star Suites. Due to the exclusive nature of these services, they cannot be extended to friends and family who are not Star guests.

24. Can any guest pay to get the Royal Genie experience?

This amenity is only available for guests booked in a Star suite and services will not be extended to other guests not residing in a Star suite.

25. Does the Royal Genie accompany a Star guest on their planned shore excursions?

The Royal Genie does not accompany their Star guest(s) on their planned shore excursion. If requested, the Royal Genie may escort guests off the ship, but while guests are enjoying their time in port, the Royal Genie is busy making sure all their other requests will be met during their cruise.

26. At what point can the Royal Suite Class guest begin making all of their reservations (shore excursions, dining, spa & fitness, entertainment etc.) prior to their trip?

All Royal Suite Class guests will be able to reserve shore excursions, dining, spa & fitness, entertainment and other activities 90 days prior to their sail date and are encouraged to pre-book their activities. Guests can pre-book through Royal Caribbean’s Cruise Planner (RoyalCaribbean.com/CruisePlanner) once they have received their reservation number. For specialty restaurant reservations, Star guests can rest assured their Royal Genie can confirm their dining needs beginning approximately four weeks prior to their sailing.

27. Are there customized VIP shore excursions available onboard Royal Caribbean ships?

Yes, through the Royal Private Journeys collection, guests can customize their vacation experience. Once you’ve made your cruise reservation, simply call us at 1-844-571-7851 (US and Canada), 1-801-666-3031 (International) Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST or visit RoyalCaribbean.com/PrivateJourneys prior to the sailing. Our Destination Insiders are at your service to create a carefully curated and totally personalized program. The earlier the better. It’s best to allow at least 21 days prior to sail date. Please allow at least one business day for our Destination Insiders to review, process, and respond to your request.

28. Will there be specialty restaurant reservations available since my Royal Genie is reserving two weeks prior to sailing?

Yes, as a Star guest, your dining requests and plans are accommodated and confirmed.

29. Should Star guests pre-book their specialty dining reservations when they plan to dine with family or friends who are not Star guests?

Whenever a Star guest plans to eat with members not booked in a Star suite we encourage our Star guests to make advance reservations through cruise planner to ensure your group gets their preferred time. In this circumstance, the Royal Genie will not be involved in the reservation. Star guests will receive a refund for eligible amounts billed to their stateroom.

30. Can you provide further details regarding the Coastal Kitchen amenity?

  • Star guests receive complimentary specialty dining throughout their entire cruise as well as access to Coastal Kitchen for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Sky guests receive access to Coastal Kitchen for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Sea guests receive dinner-only access to Coastal Kitchen.

31. What type of food is served in Coastal Kitchen?

Exclusively for Suite Guests and Pinnacle members, Coastal Kitchen fuses Mediterranean influences with the unmatched riches of California’s bountiful farmlands. This is a destination that exudes pure freshness. From Pacific Coast favorites like sea bass ceviche, to the Central Valley’s sliced avocado and homemade blueberry pie, to Med-inspired tastes like Serrano ham, whipped goat cheese and roasted grapes. And from the golden hills of Napa and Tuscany, an extensive selection of vintages await by the glass or bottle.

32. Can a guest booked in a Sea or Sky suite purchase an upgrade to receive Star amenities?

The exclusive package of Star amenities is available only to guests who purchase a Star suite. However, several of the Star amenities can be purchased individually through the online Cruise Planner (RoyalCaribbean.com/CruisePlanner), including specialty dining, VOOM, the fastest Internet at sea, Deluxe Beverage Package and the Refreshment Package.

33. Can a Royal Suite Class guest host a cocktail party in their suite?

Yes, Royal Suite Class guests are welcome to plan a cocktail party in their suite with their family and friends. The Royal Genie (for Star guests), Concierge (for Sky guests) and Guest Services (for Sea guests) can help arrange such experiences onboard. Additional charges will apply, and will be based on the type of request, number of guests, hors d’oeuvres and beverage selections, length of event, etc.

34. Can the Royal Genie arrange private shopping onboard for Star guests?

The Royal Genie has insider connections and impeccable taste. The Royal Genie can arrange private shopping with a personal introduction to the managers of our exclusive shops, including luxury brands like Cartier and Michael Kors (shops vary by ship).

35. How can a Star or Sky guest reserve a Barefoot Beach cabana at Royal Caribbean’s private destination Labadee®?

Star guests can reserve Barefoot Beach cabanas through the Royal Genie approximately four weeks prior to sailing at an additional cost. Sky guests can reserve through the Concierge one week prior to sailing at an additional cost. Once onboard, any remaining cabanas may be available for purchase by Star and Sky guests. Barefoot Beach cabanas are an additional cost and require reservations.

36. Is the Royal Suite Class offered in China?

No, Royal Suite Class is not available onboard ships sailing in China. However, our China itineraries offer a comparable luxury class known as the Royal Golden Suite program, available onboard Quantum®Spectrum®, and Voyager®
