Jessie Ortiz is Royal Caribbean International’s vice president of Finance and Administration. In her role, Ortiz leads the global cruise line’s financial management functions, which represent an estimated $5 billion in annual revenue.
Formerly associate vice president and assistant controller for the cruise line’s parent company, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. (RCL), Ortiz oversaw accounting operations across the corporation’s major brands – Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises. She supported corporate and various cruise line objectives for cross-functional initiatives, specifically managing revenue accounting, accounts payable, operations accounting, shipboard financial operations, and international accounting.
Prior to joining the company, Ortiz was an audit senior manager at multinational professional services firm Ernst & Young. She led a group of accounting and finance professionals across global audit clients and advised executive management on business improvements and regulatory matters in various industries.
Ortiz is a certified public accountant and a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
